Confessions of a Pinner

I've been debating whether or not I should start this blog or not, and then after some encouragement from my lovely mom and my very supportive husband, I did! I have been a huge Pinner for some time now (sometimes a bit obsessed) and I love trying everything I Pin about. I love DIYs, nail designs, decorating and my ultimate favorite: baking! And basically anything on Pinterest!

So the thing is, as most of you Pinners out there know, sometimes I doubt whether or not the things we see on Pinterest really work or not. And I have googled a lot of times if something really works or not, sometimes I do find it and a lot of times I don't. This leads me to think about this blog! It's basically trying out the pins I've done and said my experience with them or some suggestions, while also showing and explaining my own pins. You can follow me on Pinterest and even suggest some pins I should try out! I hope you enjoy it!

Teeth Whitening Oil Pulling Chews

I haven't been very active in the last years, however, that does not mean I have stopped using Pinterest and trying out new things. That being said, I will slowly be updating you with everything that I have done over the past years as well as recent things. For today I am sharing something that I had been reading about a lot but I had not ever tried: oil pulling. There are a lot of websites and people that swear by them and say they are extremely helpful. I did some research and looked through Pinterest for a recipe that caught my attention. And so I stumbled upon one that seemed like a perfect fit for what I was looking for.  This was the picture on the pin I saw, isn't it beautiful?  The Pin is taken from a website called Mommy Potamus that has a lot of interesting DIY things you can make at home. You can find the whole article about these oil pulling chews  here .  The ingredients are quite simple: coconut oil and turmeric powder. You also have the ...

Easy Tiramisu (Chef Recipe)

Every year for my parent's anniversary I'm in charge of making them a nice cake.  And I have tried to start a tradition with this. One year it's my mom's favorite dessert: black forest cake. The following is my dad's favorite: tiramisu. And finally, the third year is a surprise. It sounds complicated but it's really fun to do it this way and a lot easier. The hard part is to find that "perfect" recipe. Whenever it's about a month until their anniversary, I start my Pinterest hunt on that perfect recipe.  This year it was my dad's favorite: tiramisu. And so I searched through hundreds of pins until I found one that had everything I wanted. The recipe was fairly easy and I had access to all of the ingredients and it even included a YouTube video which is amazing! And I mean, look at how delicious it looks! I took that image from her website.  This pin was taken from Recipe Tin Eats , they have many incredible recipes that I will for ...

Turning trash into treasure: My new TV stand

Does it ever happen to you that you need something but you don't have the money to get it? Or that you don't want to throw something out because you know it has the potential for something way better? Well, both things happened to me with my TV stand. I had just moved into my new apartment which was extremely old and needed a remodeling asap. That's where all of my money went to the endless remodeling. Some of the things I needed to remodel was the kitchen (which is an ongoing project). It literally had a stove and a broken countertop. I went to an app called Wallapop (one of my favs) and then after endlessly searching for some kitchen furniture found one. It was a lot more furniture than what I needed but it was such an amazing price that I said yes to it all.  And so then some friends installed the new kitchen cabinets and countertops but naturally, there were a couple of extra ones. Instead of immediately selling them, I thought of ways to use them around the house. ...
