Confessions of a Pinner

I've been debating whether or not I should start this blog or not, and then after some encouragement from my lovely mom and my very supportive husband, I did! I have been a huge Pinner for some time now (sometimes a bit obsessed) and I love trying everything I Pin about. I love DIYs, nail designs, decorating and my ultimate favorite: baking! And basically anything on Pinterest!

So the thing is, as most of you Pinners out there know, sometimes I doubt whether or not the things we see on Pinterest really work or not. And I have googled a lot of times if something really works or not, sometimes I do find it and a lot of times I don't. This leads me to think about this blog! It's basically trying out the pins I've done and said my experience with them or some suggestions, while also showing and explaining my own pins. You can follow me on Pinterest and even suggest some pins I should try out! I hope you enjoy it!

Teeth Whitening Oil Pulling Chews

I haven't been very active in the last years, however, that does not mean I have stopped using Pinterest and trying out new things. That being said, I will slowly be updating you with everything that I have done over the past years as well as recent things. For today I am sharing something that I had been reading about a lot but I had not ever tried: oil pulling. There are a lot of websites and people that swear by them and say they are extremely helpful. I did some research and looked through Pinterest for a recipe that caught my attention. And so I stumbled upon one that seemed like a perfect fit for what I was looking for.  This was the picture on the pin I saw, isn't it beautiful?  The Pin is taken from a website called Mommy Potamus that has a lot of interesting DIY things you can make at home. You can find the whole article about these oil pulling chews  here .  The ingredients are quite simple: coconut oil and turmeric powder. You also have the ...

Mani Monday: Black Vintage Floral

One of my favorite things to pin about are nail designs, in fact, if you check out my weheartit account, that will be one of my top things to save. I believe that we should all show ourselves a little bit of love and one way is by taking care of yourself. And this isn't to impress someone but to feel happy about yourself. I am not a professional nail artist BUT I love trying out different designs on my nails. I had seen on Pinterest and WeHeartIt a vintage nail design that I just fell in love with! But I really didn't have the colors needed and I was scared I wouldn't be able to do them good because all I had to work with were toothpicks and q-tips. But then I saw one on Pinterest from a Tumblr account and it was perfect! And I actually had the colors needed!  So I found a Pin on how to make this beautiful vintage  floral design by  Renata Princess . Her website is in Portuguese  but if you look at the tutorials tab there is no need to kno...

TBT: Raw Brownie with Raw Berry Ice Cream

It's TBT! The day where people bring out the most embarrassing pictures from ages ago! But this blog really isn't about that, so my tbt is about that one time I was a Vegan+Rawtarian (I ate everything raw) for a month. It was hard...very hard...very expensive...and very very time-consuming! However, after some days, I felt different, in a good way. And I actually really liked using all the cool recipes I found on Pinterest. Some were delicious while others...well, I wasn't so thrilled about.  I'm a big fan of sweets, so I always would look for sweet things to make. One of my favorite desserts is brownies! Gosh, they are so good! But what do they have? Sugar, flour, eggs, milk...all the things I couldn't eat. So I did a bit of Pinterest research and found a recipe for it from a website that really helped me a lot! TheRawtarian  was my go-to website for almost all of my recipes and I still do some of them. The recipe I saw was exactly the one I was dreaming about...
