Sun-Dried Tomato Dressing

Have you ever done a detox? Well, I am a number one fan of doing a detox once in a while. They are hard (sometimes) but they leave your body feeling fresh and great! I found this recipe from Detoxinista  that has really good recipes! I have actually done several of them and I really love them! One that I did some days ago was the Sun-Dried Tomato Dressing  and it was amazing! Of course, I saved the Pin to one of my boards and I will definitely be doing it again.  It was a really simple recipe with ingredients that we normally have at home. The only thing I would recommend is to add a bit of less garlic. I love garlic but in my personal opinion, it was a bit too much. I used this for some of my salads and my personal favorite was using it on some baked veggies I made yesterday.  If you try this, let me know what you think and how you use this dressing!

Cucumber Honeydew Melon Smoothie

We all love summer, but some of us hate the heat and all the sweating involved! Something I love making in summer is refreshing smoothies, and I always try to make healthy ones even though I am chocolate smoothie's #1 fan! If you check out my board Skinny and Healthy drinks  you'll see some drinks I've saved that look amazing and aren't hard on our waistline. Today I'd like to talk about one specific one I did the other day and it was amazing! And it was so refreshing! My hubby also loved it, so I am definitely doing this recipe again.  It's called "Cucumber Honeydew Melon Smoothie" by dashofeast. The link from the pin is actually not working now, it was ok before but now it just says: Not found. If you have a link to this recipe please let me know!  Just looking at it makes me want to make it again...right now! The recipe ingredients I made was: 1 cup frozen honeydew melon cut into small pieces 1/2 cup cucumber cut into small pi

Mani Monday: Black Vintage Floral

One of my favorite things to pin about are nail designs, in fact, if you check out my weheartit account, that will be one of my top things to save. I believe that we should all show ourselves a little bit of love and one way is by taking care of yourself. And this isn't to impress someone but to feel happy about yourself. I am not a professional nail artist BUT I love trying out different designs on my nails. I had seen on Pinterest and WeHeartIt a vintage nail design that I just fell in love with! But I really didn't have the colors needed and I was scared I wouldn't be able to do them good because all I had to work with were toothpicks and q-tips. But then I saw one on Pinterest from a Tumblr account and it was perfect! And I actually had the colors needed!  So I found a Pin on how to make this beautiful vintage  floral design by  Renata Princess . Her website is in Portuguese  but if you look at the tutorials tab there is no need to know the language to

CopyCat Starbucks Lemon Loaf

Some months ago I had to bring a dessert to a friend's dinner and I really wanted to try something new. So what did I do? I went to my loyal Pinterest! And I found something I have never ever tried before! A Lemon Loaf! And not just any but a copycat one of Starbucks, which so far, the copycat recipes I have tried are actually really good! The Pin I found was by Jen from CincyShopper, here is a link to the recipe from her web and you can find the Pin here . Her recipes are AMAZING! You should go check them out! The recipe itself is really easy and affordable. It makes 2 loaves which 1 loaf actually was good for 10 people, but if you want thicker slices, then it will feed fewer people. I did do some adjustments because here in Spain (where I currently live) there aren't some things that recipe called for, or they are very hard to find and when you do find them, they are VERY expensive. The original recipe ingredients were: A picture of the Pin for the recipe

Confessions of a Pinner

I've been debating whether or not I should start this blog or not, and then after some encouragement from my lovely mom and my very supportive husband, I did! I have been a huge Pinner for some time now (sometimes a bit obsessed) and I love trying everything I Pin about. I love DIYs, nail designs, decorating and my ultimate favorite: baking! And basically anything on Pinterest!          So the thing is, as most of you Pinners out there know, sometimes I doubt whether or not the things we see on Pinterest really work or not. And I have googled a lot of times if something really works or not, sometimes I do find it and a lot of times I don't. This leads me to think about this blog! It's basically trying out the pins I've done and said my experience with them or some suggestions, while also showing and explaining my own pins. You can follow me on Pinterest and even suggest some pins I should try out! I hope you enjoy it!
